Where to…

Costa del Sol Excellent variety of courses along a 70 mile coastline. The breathtaking La Quinta features 72 holes and is arguably the best that Spain has to offer. The Almenara is located in the heart of Spain’s golden golfing triangle. The Valderrama staged the 1998 Ryder Cup and the Marbella Golf Course is also amongst the most popular.

La Manga La Manga North, South and West are popular courses and host international tournaments including the Spanish Open. The facilities on offer at La Manga are second to none.

Costa Brava Relatively quiet courses The PGA de Catalunya hosted the Spanish Open in 2000 and rose in popularity. Voted ‘up and coming golf destination’ in the 2001 Golf Tourism Awards, the Costa Brava and Golf d’Aro courses are also extremely popular.

Costa de la Luz El Rompido, Islantilla and Alcaidesa links are only a selection of a large variety of courses in this region in the western part of the Andalucian coastline.

Costa Dorada Bonmont, Panoramica, Costa Dorada and Aiguesverds courses are known for their consistently high standards and are well maintained with a friendly atmosphere.

Majorca The island has a great number of courses on offer mainly situated just off of the coast in the North, East and Southern regions. Those visitors based in Pollensa, Puerto Andratx and to the north of Cala d’Or are spoilt for choice.

Tenerife Beautiful courses scattered around the island attracts even the rich and famous. To the north, in Tacoronte and in the South, near Playa de Las Americas and Costa del Silencio the island’s golf facilities are extremely popular and the number of courses on offer is expanding annually.

Gran Canaria Las Palmas hosts Spain’s oldest golf course and both novices and experts are attracted to its picturesque fairways. Maspalomas, in the south is not only a popular tourist attraction with its spectacular sand dunes but is also home to an 18 hole golf course.
