Madrid

Easy to explore on foot as most of the main sights are within easy reach. The Palacio Real (Royal Palace) stands above the River Manzanares and is open to the general public. The Centro de Artes Reina Sofia is best known for being current home to one of Picasso’s great paintings the ‘Guernica’. The Retiro Park is one of the Madrid’s most beautiful and popular parks. Calles Almirante, Conde de Xiquena and the Salamanca district are a shoppers paradise and Plaza Mayor is well known for its fine restaurants as are Gran Via and Puerto de Sol.

Barcelona

One of Europe’s most exciting cities, Barcelona has a vibrant atmosphere and much to offer its visitors.

La Rambla is the main shopping area, Les Rambles being the most famous street and is a magnet for visitors, as are Passeig de Gracia, Avinguda Diagonal and Carrer de Pelai for shoe lovers. Picasso Museum and the Museum of Catalan Art attract lovers of Art and the Medieval Quarter, the Barri Gotic is a maze of twisted streets.

Seville The Seville Cathedral is the world’s largest Gothic building and The Giralda Tower, part of its complex dominates the skyline. Calle Sierpers has a cosmopolitan atmosphere and the Los Remedios district guarantees you a lively nightlife. The weekly street market at Calle Feria attracts those looking for a bargain.

Valencia The third largest city in Spain is famous for Las Fallas. Every March the city comes alive with fireworks and festivities. Places to visit include the Arts and Sciences Museum and Ceramics Museum.
