There is something for everyone on the Costa Del Sol, which runs from Nerja to Gibraltar. The local Airport is Malaga and wherever you are going, it will only be a short trip away.
Bustling resorts include Torremolinos, Fuengirola and Benalmadena where you can find everything you need for an action packed or family holiday, but there is so much more to this area…..
Golfers will know that this is a golfer’s paradise – referred to as ‘Costa del Golf – with some of the best courses in Spain and year round sunshine. Courses include Sotogrande, San Roque and Estepona.
Exclusive Marbella, with it’s glamorous harbour has an abundance of shops, restaurants and bars – well known for it’s nightlife too.
Next door, in Peurto Banus, you may try a spot of celebrity spotting, but expect to pay higher prices than other resorts….
Nerja offers something very different, being much more relaxed and family orientated, with an array of villas to stay in. Have a look out from the ‘balcon de Europa’ promenade, with it’s stunning views, check out the local prehistoric caves or laze around on the sandy beaches.
Malaga, a cosmopolitan city, offers wide, palm tree lined streets to wander along, excellent nightlife and museums to visit.
The Ancient Fortress of Alcazaba is definitely worth a visit nearby.
There are the pretty inland villages of Frigliana, Mijas, Competa and Benahavis to explore and also the town of Ronda, which has a much photographed and magnificent 100m deep gorge bridged by the ‘new bridge’. A must see!
