Set in an un-commercialised area where you can mix with the real “Andalucian way of life”. This area has not been overtaken by the mass holiday market and has therefore retained a very continental feel, with a mixture of the old and new Spanish way of life.

From local fishing village to the new hypermarkets an ideal location if you wish to experience the true Spain away from the fish & chip shops and English breakfasts. The apartments are situated in a very peaceful location with no through traffic allowed on the complex, making the area safe for children to explore.

Each property has its own front garden along with lockable gate. Also there is a security guard patrolling the complex from 17:00 hours until 07:30. A very safe and secure environment.

The gardens are well established and plentiful in flowers and lush trees “a very pretty complex”.

The apartments consist of ground floor and 1st floor only, no high rise buildings.

An additional bonus is that there are no restaurants or noisy bars internally within the complex to disrupt your well-deserved sleep!

Although the apartments consist of one bedroom with twin beds or pushed together double, they are large spacious apartments which afford lots of space even with the large double sofa bed in the lounge is in use. The apartment sleeps four very comfortably and in addition there is a dining area with table and chairs.

The interiors are fully furnished in good taste with pine units, marbled floors, fully fitted kitchen and washing machine, microwaves, toasters, kettles, TV sat channels.
The Complex

The facilities consist of two large open-air swimming pools, one of which has food and sports facilities such as water aerobics and children’s club, while the other is more for relaxation, both are surrounded by gardens.

Also an ample sized indoor heated pool covered by a glass dome (ideal for the early morning swim) and for the winter months a heated Jacuzzi/spa.

For fitness during your stay, there’s a private gymnasium and tennis courts – (there is a small charge for the use of the indoor facilities).

Set around the complex are a selection of shops, supermarkets, two tennis courts, a bank, a roast chicken take-away and numerous family friendly bars and restaurants of every nationality.

The long sandy beach is just a 5-minute stroll away – it stretches for miles and is never crowded.

This area is also a designated nature reserve and an award winning blue flag beach.

A new promenade leads you along the beach and into the quaint fishing town of Garrucha. This town is alive with activities.

A very traditional Spanish working town with many traditional shops, weekly market. Amazing fresh fish restaurants along the Marina, water sports and much, much more!!

Upon entering Garrucha Marina there is a fun fair held during the Fiestas in August. Great for both small and big kids alike!

And of course with every fun fair comes the traditional Churros y Chocolate stalls, (long shaped donuts which you dip into a pot of warm chocolate), best eaten “after” the fun fair rides!

During the summer months there is also an evening market on the promenade selling nic nacs.

Security

This complex has an external security fence, which completely circles the complex.

The entrance is by key only. The keys are only issued to owners and renters. No access to the general public.

In addition the pool has a fence around it once again with gated doors and key access.

Area Facilities

Almeria is an area steeped in Andalucian tradition, with the historic villages of Mojacar, Turre, Vera, Los Gallardos and Garrucha all close by.

The fishing village of Garrucha is about a twenty-minute stroll along the promenade from the complex. Relax in one of the many fresh fish restaurants and watch the local fishermen as they arrive with their daily catch.

Many amenities are to be found in Garrucha – restaurants, bars, shops and an amazing weekly day and evening markets.

Just a few minutes drive along the coast from Garrucha is the lively resort of Mojacar Beach – here you will find water sports and many restaurants, bars and shops.

A drive up into the mountains brings you to the typically Andalucian Mojacar Village, a beautiful hill top village clustered with white traditional houses. A village riddled with Moorish architecture and historic church and buildings.

With shops selling traditional antiques and jewellery, restaurants with typical Andalucian cooking and tapas bars all set amongst the cobbled lanes.

Many other towns/villages are well worth a drive through the stunning mountain scenery.

Almost the entire coast between Mojacar and Almeria is covered by the Cabo de Gata National Park – an extensive area of sand dunes, wetlands and salt marshes serving as a breeding ground for some eighty species of birds and migrants, including flamingos and storks.

Within a short distance you will find the new Aqua Park with its slides, water shoots and pools – a great day out for all the family. Several Lifeguards monitor all pools. The water shoots are a must! Starting for the novice with small slide shoots leading up to the Kamikaze for those who dare!!!!!

The aqua park also has snack and dining facilities and offer discounts for weekly family entrance tickets.

Boat/fishing trips, horse riding, a micro light flight, a visit to the Caves of Sorbas, or Mini-Hollywood (a wild-west town deep in the mountains) are just some of the trips you may wish to take.

This is a very good complex for group booking’s as there are many facilities, where you can all join in the entertainments together and still have the freedom of separate apartments.

Please note if you book car hire via Aurega or Crown there collection point is based off site from the airport. Therefore we would recommend one of the other alternatives.

Or should you prefer a private taxi can be organised to collect you from the airport and take you direct to your apartment.

The other option would be to book the coach transfer when booking your flights with Easy jet or Ryanair. The coach will then drop you near to the complex.

The stairs lead up to the 1st floor, which consists of – one double bedroom with private patio area over looking the pool and one twin bedroom, along with an additional bathroom and shower.

The Complex

Set around the complex are a selection of shops, supermarkets, two tennis courts, a bank, a roast chicken take-away and numerous family friendly bars and restaurants of every nationality.
Also for a small charge the use of the leisure club nearby, with indoor pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and gymnasium.

The facilities consist of a huge ornate swimming pool, which runs the length of the entire complex. The pool is maintained daily. There are sun-beds placed around the pool for your use during the peak seasons. In addition sun-beds are held in each of the properties.

There is also a separate children’s pool and play area, all surrounded by sun terraces, gardens and a large fountain.
